About
As part of the evolution of IBM's software visual language, this project established a unified visual system for Data, one of the core foundations of nearly every software experience and the engine behind AI.
Data appears across IBM products in many forms, from structured and unstructured data, to real-time and siloed data. To bring consistency to these diverse scenarios, the work identified nine key themes representing the challenges and opportunities across the data ecosystem.
These themes became the foundation for a series of 3D visual explorations, illustrating how data moves, connects, and scales while communicating the transformation of data into trusted, accessible, and actionable insights. The result is a flexible visual language that enables consistent storytelling across the entire software portfolio.
